Albania's Energy Regulatory Authority has published two draft acts for public consultation as it prepares the framework for renewable energy communities, Balkan Green Energy News reported on 18 September. [1]

One draft covers registration, the official register and possible suspension of a community's activity; the other sets out a standard membership agreement. The proposed model treats a community as a legal entity with voluntary and open participation. [1]

ContextUnder the drafts, communities could produce, consume, store, share and sell renewable electricity and take part in aggregation. The provisions remain proposals under consultation rather than final rules. [1]
