Greece and Egypt concluded the annual Medusa exercise on 18 September near Maleme, outside Chania on Crete. AP reported that the final phase included simulated drone attacks, fast-boat landings by marines and special forces, and operations by aircraft and helicopters. [1]
France, Italy and Cyprus also participated, while Serbia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Mozambique sent observers. The exercise began on 10 September and ended on Friday; it was a training event, not a reported combat operation. [1]
